Pulford is taking every step necessary to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) by following the guidelines set out by Federal and Provincial Health authorities. Pulford’s number one priority is the health and safety of its’ staff, people supported and their families. In light of the recent changes to Federally initiated social distancing guidelines, Pulford is taking action to mitigate the risk to everyone with the following:
Effective Tuesday March 17, 2020, all Pulford Day Service sites will be closed until April 13, 2020. This includes both Winnipeg Day Services, Ste. Anne Day Service and Interlake Day Service. Day service staff will be re-deployed to residential homes to assist with staffing.
Effective Tuesday March 17, 2020, all residentially supported individuals at Pulford will cease attending their respective day programs until April 13, 2020. They will not be supported to attend any community functions or activities including but not limited to movies, shopping, restaurants etc. They will not be supported to visit friends in other residential homes within Pulford or otherwise nor will they be permitted to have friends visit at their home. As well, family members will be limited to one visit per day by one family member only.
We understand that these new expectations may be disruptive for many people, however as the COVID-19 situation is ever evolving, so must our practices to ensure everyone’s health and well being. These measures will be monitored and assessed daily by Pulford’s Executive team and changes will made based on information provided by Federal and Provincial Health experts.
Please remain alert for future updates and changes.
