On April 29th, 2014 Pulford hosted its 4th annual wine tasting event. This year we were very excited to be in a new venue, the beautifully designed Earl’s Kitchen & Bar in St. Vital. As soon as you walked in the door you were greeted by both Pulford’s gracious volunteers and Earl’s hardworking and amiable staff. A glass of Champagne was the perfect beginning to a wonderful evening.

Guests then made their way around the room to sample a selection of gorgeous wines chosen and generously donated by Banville & Jones. After perusing the amazing prizes in the raffle they found their seats where the serving staff from Earl’s offered them delicious bite sized appetizers sure to make anyone’s mouth water! Chrissy Troy of Virgin 103.1 was witty and charming as the evenings host for the 2nd year and John Pollard did a great job of introducing Pulford to those who were unaware of our mission. The bidding auction was fast paced and exciting and it was quite funny to see guests with numbered oven mitts trying to outbid each other! All in all the evening was a great success raising close to $18,000 for our endowment fund held by the Winnipeg Foundation!
